Not your boring uncle’s news — we spill it raw

🧨 India-Pakistan Wars: A Summary

1. 1947–48 War (First Kashmir War)

  • Reason: After Partition, both India and Pakistan claimed Jammu & Kashmir.

  • Result: Ceasefire by UN; India retained 2/3 of Kashmir, Pakistan held 1/3 (now called PoK – Pakistan-occupied Kashmir).

2. 1965 War

  • Reason: Pakistan tried to infiltrate Kashmir (Operation Gibraltar), believing Kashmiris would revolt.

  • Result: Stalemate; Tashkent Agreement brokered by USSR ended the war.

3. 1971 War (Bangladesh Liberation)

  • Reason: Civil war in East Pakistan; India supported East Pakistan’s independence movement.

  • Result: Major Indian victory. Bangladesh was created. Over 90,000 Pakistani soldiers surrendered.

4. 1999 Kargil War

  • Reason: Pakistani soldiers and militants occupied Indian positions in Kargil (J&K).

  • Result: India pushed them back. Heavy casualties. World support went in India’s favor.

🌍 Global Powers’ Role:

🇺🇸 United States (America)

  • Historically supported Pakistan during the Cold War due to its alliance with NATO.

  • Post 9/11: Balanced support; focused more on counter-terrorism.

  • Recently: Strengthening ties with India as a counter to China’s rise (QUAD, trade, tech).

🇷🇺 Russia (Former USSR)

  • Longtime ally of India (especially during 1971 war).

  • Provided military, political, and diplomatic support.

  • Continues to supply defense equipment, though now balancing relations with Pakistan and China too.

🇨🇳 China

  • Strong ally of Pakistan (CPEC, military aid, trade).

  • Border issues and war with India in 1962; ongoing tensions in Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh.

  • Supports Pakistan diplomatically, especially at the UN regarding Kashmir.

🧠 Conclusion:

  • India-Pakistan tensions are deeply rooted in history, especially over Kashmir.

  • All wars have led to more militarization but no permanent solution.

  • Nuclear weapons on both sides make war risky for global peace.

  • World powers (Russia, US, China) play complex roles based on strategic interests, not just morality.

  • Diplomacy, economic cooperation, and people-to-people connection are key to long-term peace.

Why You Gain 1-2 kg Before Your Period

You don’t gain fat — it’s mostly water retention, bloating, and hormonal changes during your cycle:

  • Follicular Phase (Day 1–14): Estrogen rises, so you feel light and balanced.

  • Luteal Phase (Day 15–28): Progesterone rises, causing water retention, bloating, cravings, and slower digestion.

  • Menstrual Phase: Hormones drop, water is released, and weight goes back to normal.

✅ It’s temporary, not real weight gain. Stay hydrated, eat fiber, and move your body to feel better!
